WHAT IS THE INCLUSIVE SPORTSWEAR CHARTER?
The Inclusive Sportswear Charter is a guidance framework that outlines the very best practice for inclusive sportswear policy and guidelines.
The Inclusive Sportswear Charter is designed to support schools, clubs, organisations and brands in the sport and physical activity sector to put inclusion, participation, and performance of all individuals at the centre sportswear policy.
Signatories join a new community of inclusive sportswear champions with a shared purpose: to build a future where sportswear is not a barrier to participation and performance for all.

The Inclusive Sportswear Charter is not just a commitment; it is a guiding set of principles that drive our dedication to creating sports kit that is inclusive, respectful, and reflective of the diverse individuals who make up the vibrant sports community.
INCLUSIVE SPORTSWEAR GUIDANCE
The Inclusive Sportswear Charter is accompanied by the Inclusive Sportswear Guidance including specific advice and case-studies co-designed by expert organisations, such as Youth Sport Trust, Access Sport, The Well HQ, Pride Sports, EcoAthletes and the Inclusive Sportswear EDI Working Group.
SIGNING THE CHARTER
Commitment to: Educate, Evolve, Embed.
Signing the Inclusive Sportswear Charter will signify a commitment to:
Educate on the importance of the Charter.
Evolve current sportswear policy.
Embed the Inclusive Sportswear Charter within current and future sportswear choices.
Signatories will be supported by Inclusive Sportswear CIC and have access to best practice guidance specific to school, club, sport organisation and brand context for specific details pertaining to sportswear and ethnicity, religion, gender and sex, gender diversity, disability, body type, identity expression.
Signatories will undergo the Inclusive Sportswear Champion Process through the Inclusive Sportswear Website Portal (Launching October 2024) to complete the certification and gain Champion status.
