“In my time years working in ED&I I really have had my eyes opened to the impact affordable, user centric clothing has on participation. Policies, regulations and clothing design has needs to meet the needs of everyone from grass roots to elite level.

For disabled athletes the shift needs to be extreme. Currently they are an after-thought, if that, and often have to adjust clothing themselves – something that would be unacceptable in other sporting disciplines. For ethnically diverse people regulations must be explicitly state what is permitted to ensure that there is no exclusion.
